Overview
In this Lead Software Engineer role within JPMorgan Chase's Equities Trading Technology Organization, you will shape an award-winning algo execution platform and related systems. You collaborate with quants, traders, and technologists to deliver scalable, secure market-leading technology that supports global trading. You’ll build, test, and optimize real-time, low-latency solutions across the trading engine and related infrastructure. This role offers global collaboration and a direct impact on trading performance and stability, with a clear emphasis on innovation and operational excellence. You will help drive the platform to support firm objectives in a fast-paced, multi-regional setting.
Responsibilities- Design and develop algo trading strategies and execution platform
- Design and develop simulation environment and maintain automated testing for strategies under simulated market conditions
- Enhance existing strategies by analyzing analytics and refining models/signals
- Investigate and resolve strategy behavior issues in collaboration with the desk
- Develop scalable real-time processing solutions using agile methodologies
- Identify opportunities to automate remediation and improve software and system stability
- Formal training or certification in software engineering with advanced Java experience
- Proficiency in low-latency, real-time, scalable trading systems
- Experience with high-throughput messaging APIs and middleware
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a global NA, EMEA, APAC team
- Experience with algorithmic trading, including systematic trading
- Background in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
