In this role, you will lead and contribute to agile teams building secure, scalable market-leading technology products. You will mentor peers, shape design decisions, and drive AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality, speed, and reliability. You’ll work across cloud platforms and high-volume back-end systems to deliver impactful solutions in a complex financial domain. This position offers the opportunity to influence product design and technical operations while advancing secure, resilient software practices at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance to business and technical teams, contractors, and vendors
  • Develop secure, high-quality production code and review others' code
  • Drive adoption and governance of AI-assisted engineering practices across teams
  • Improve SDLC automation and validation standards, promote reuse of proven patterns
  • Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to enhance automation value at scale
  • Influence product design, functionality, and operations
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert
  • Promote firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
Key requirements
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience in Java
  • Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Proficiency in Java, Springboot, high-performance Java, thread safety, and scalable patterns for high-volume systems
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision using modern AI techniques
  • Experience with AWS and Terraform-based deliveries
  • Experience building scalable SQL/NoSQL databases
  • Experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools and setting team expectations for AI outputs
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
