Java Tech Lead – Cash Confirmations

• Contribute to target-state architecture and modernization roadmaps for Cash Confirmations platforms


• Drive platform modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, event-driven architecture, distributed processing, and resiliency improvements


• Serve as subject matter expert for Cash confirmation workflows, trade confirmation generation, exception processing, client delivery channels, regulatory and audit requirements, and market infrastructure integrations


• Partner with business and operations stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions


• Guide teams on performance, scalability, capacity management, disaster recovery, monitoring, observability, and production readiness


• Support internal audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments through architectural guidance, system documentation, and remediation plans


• Provide leadership during critical production incidents and major platform transformation initiatives


• Provide senior technology leadership for Morgan Stanley's Cash Confirmations platforms

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in enterprise software engineering and distributed systems


• 3-5 years in a senior technical leadership role


• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical discipline


• Proven experience designing and governing large-scale, low-latency transaction processing platforms


• Experience preferably within financial services


• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills


• Experience presenting technology strategy to senior leadership


• Ability to perform effectively in high-pressure production and delivery environments


• Strong exposure to AI-assisted software development, engineering productivity tooling, and intelligent operational platforms


• Ability to diagnose production issues and steer teams in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations


• Knowledge of French and English is required
