Salary: £58,000 - 98,000 per year
Requirements
- Must have experience with JavaScript, including vanilla JS, prototypes, scoping, design patterns, and memory profiling.
- Track record of successful software delivery through all phases of development, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented design, design patterns, and extreme programming.
- Familiar with build automation and continuous integration.
- Ability to write unit tests using JavaScript in a common library such as Jasmine.
- Experience of working in an Agile software development environment.
- Experience with Node.js or other programming languages is desirable.
- Cross-platform development experience, preferably on smart TV and consoles, is desirable.
- Experience developing a high-profile digital video service is desirable.
- Test-driven development experience is desirable.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is desirable.
Responsibilities
- We are responsible for the development and delivery of all client-side aspects of our product.
- We develop new features and launch new platforms.
- We design and build world-leading streaming services across web, mobile, and TV platforms.
- We work on new feature releases and evolve the next phase of our application framework.
- We deliver high-quality, robust, and testable code in line with our internal engineering procedures, code conventions, and development methodologies.
- We contribute to comprehensive documentation that supports development and support lifecycles.
- We continually improve software deployment to enable iterative releases and rapid updates across all platforms.
- We mentor and support other developers in their day-to-day work.
- We monitor system performance and resolve issues or failures in staging or production environments.
