Overview

In this role you will own the client-side development of our product, delivering new features and platforms in an Agile environment. You’ll lead design and build of world‑class streaming services across web, mobile, and TV, contributing to the next phase of the application framework. You’ll work with a growing team to ship robust, testable code, improve deployments, and mentor peers, all while shaping a strong engineering culture in a dynamic, vibrant workplace. This is a hands-on, impact‑driven opportunity to help scale a high‑profile streaming product.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver client-side features for the product across platforms
  • Lead design and build of streaming services for web, mobile, and TV
  • Contribute to the evolving application framework and new feature releases
  • Write robust, testable code following internal standards and procedures
  • Improve software deployment for rapid, iterative releases across platforms
  • Mentor and support other developers in day‑to‑day work
  • Monitor performance and resolve issues in staging/production environments
  • Produce and maintain development documentation supporting lifecycle activities
Key requirements
  • Proven experience delivering customer-facing JavaScript applications (vanilla JS, prototypes, scoping, design patterns)
  • Track record of full software delivery lifecycle: coding standards, code reviews, SCM, build processes, testing, operations
  • Experience with object-oriented design, design patterns, and extreme programming (XP)
  • Familiarity with build automation and continuous integration
  • Ability to write JavaScript unit tests using a library such as Jasmine
  • Experience with Node.js or other programming languages
  • Cross-platform development, preferably for smart TV and consoles
  • Experience developing high-profile digital video services
  • Test-driven development (TDD)
  • Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience in an Agile software development environment
  • Mentoring and supporting other developers
  • Strong collaboration within cross-functional teams
