Jr. Payroll Clerk

At International Cooling Tower, Inc., we are committed to transforming industrial operations by prioritizing accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in our payroll and benefits processes. We are looking for a Jr. Payroll Clerk to support our team in providing seamless, compliant, and efficient payroll and benefits Canadian and U.S. employees. This role requires strong attention to detail, an interest in growth and in working towards a payroll designation.

Key Responsibilities: Payroll and Benefits Support

• Maintain accurate employee data within UKG and other payroll systems, ensuring confidentiality and precision.
• Address and resolve payroll inquiries with a high degree of confidentiality and accuracy.
• Reconcile deductions and providing reporting to the Payroll Manager.
• Learning from our strong team of payroll professionals while providing excellent support to the department.

Qualifications:

• Working towards a Canadian or American payroll designation is preferred.
• 1-2 years in payroll role with a growth mindset regarding learning both Canadian and potentially American payroll practices and legislation.
• Some bookkeeping/accounting knowledge is a strong benefit to the role.
• Strong diligence, with excellent data entry skills.
• Elevated level of discretion and confidentiality.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, outside agencies and within our payroll group.
• At least Moderate proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
