Overview

In this role you will join a development team building a rich AJAX enterprise web application for a global market data client. You will contribute to an N-Tier, internationalised web platform and assist in migrating and enhancing an existing solution with new features. You’ll work closely with a small cross-functional team and take ownership of requirements, implementation and testing. The role offers scope to shape technical direction and learn new technologies in a dynamic, young environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop a rich AJAX-driven enterprise web interface using ASP.NET Web Forms and jQuery
  • Work in an N-Tier architecture with SQL Server backend
  • Capture requirements, implement solutions and conduct testing
  • Provide technical support across projects when needed
  • Collaborate with BAs, consultants, and PMs in a small team
  • Contribute ideas to shape the solution direction
  • Migrate from an older platform and enhance with new features
Key requirements
  • 2:1 Computing Science degree from an EU University
  • ASP.NET v3.5 (4 years commercial experience)
  • ASP.NET AJAX Framework v3.5 (4 years commercial experience)
  • CSS (Very Good, 2 years commercial / strong graduate)
  • HTML (Very Good, 2 years commercial / strong graduate)
  • jQuery + JavaScript (Very Good, 2 years commercial / strong graduate)
  • T-SQL – SQL Server 2005/2008 R2 (Very Good, 2 years commercial)
