Junior Business Analyst

In this role you will work within CMC Markets' technology team to translate business needs into clear requirements and testable solutions for pricing and risk front-office applications. You’ll collaborate with product, development, quantitative, dealing, and vendor teams in an agile setting to move from gap analysis to delivery. You’ll maintain high-quality documentation, support training, and help manage the development lifecycle. This is a hands-on position that combines analysis, communication, and delivery in a fast-paced trading environment.

• Analyze, collate and produce business requirements including gap analyses for project and product initiatives
• Communicate effectively with software developers, quantitative analysts, dealing desks, and external vendors
• Capture requirements, produce software requirement specifications, and scope testing for iterative development
• Support development lifecycle management: monitor development, track user story status, and contribute to iteration plans
• Maintain high-quality documentation for features for risk assessment and auditing
• Explain impact of changes to business and product teams to inform delivery timelines
• Support user training and related documentation
• Escalate issues and coordinate with Lead BA to mitigate project risks
• Collaborate with BA community to achieve business objectives

• Financial Services background essential
• Experience in pricing/risk front-office applications advantageous
• Strong BA in a technology team
• Experience supporting tests advantageous
• Proven experience with Agile methodologies essential
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Miro, Excel, and SQL
• Experience using AI tools advantageous
• Team player capable of independent work and ownership of small tasks
• Ability to produce detailed BRs, Epics and User Stories
• Excellent communication across levels and with technical teams
