Junior Cyber Incident Response Analyst

Protect Hootsuite systems through incident response, security monitoring, and alert triage in a hybrid Vancouver or Toronto role. Analyze threats and support response operations.

As a Junior Cyber Incident Response Analyst, you will help secure Hootsuite’s product, services, and IT infrastructure. The role includes network fundamentals, malware analysis, de-obfuscation, and security operations. You will report to the Director, Information Security while supporting corporate and customer-facing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily security operations for corporate and customer-facing systems
• Analyze and triage incidents involving potential attacks
• Escalate alerts from MSSP and security tools
• Execute operational runbooks during incident response
• Participate in Hootsuite’s security incident on-call rotation

Requirements:

• One to two years in security or related roles
• Degree or diploma in information technology, computer science, or engineering
• Knowledge of network protocols, OSI fundamentals, and log formats
• Cloud, CI/CD, Unix or Linux experience, preferably AWS
• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, YAML, or PowerShell
