Junior Data Engineer

Join Goodlord as a Junior Data Engineer to help build a scalable data function supporting AI initiatives and self-service analytics. You’ll work under a Data Lead, maintaining pipelines and supporting transformations in a modern cloud stack. The role offers hands-on mentorship and exposure to cloud warehousing, orchestration, and cross-functional projects. You’ll contribute to reliable data flows and a growing data community while learning through real-world, customer-focused data problems.

• Monitor and maintain core data pipelines (Airflow, Fivetran, Skyvia) to proactively catch and resolve issues
• Support dbt transformations in a BigQuery/GCP warehouse and manage reverse ETL to Salesforce
• Investigate and troubleshoot data sync failures, pipeline issues, and dataset discrepancies
• Contribute to self-service capabilities, documentation, testing, and engineering best practices
• Tackle ad-hoc projects with cross-functional teams using tools like Google Drive/Sheets and Metabase

• Experience with SQL
• Scripting language exposure (preferably Python)
• Interest in cloud data warehouses (GCP/BigQuery/AWS) and working with Airflow, dbt, Fivetran, Skyvia
• Methodical, detail-oriented problem-solving approach
• Interest in AI-assisted workflows (e.g., Claude, Gemini)
