As a Junior Data Platform Engineer, you will tackle data-focused challenges alongside senior colleagues in a fast-paced fintech environment. You’ll contribute to a central data platform that powers fast, iterative analytics while keeping reliability, cost, and security in focus. You’ll collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to translate business problems into scalable solutions. You’ll own parts of the problem and progressively shape the data stack and processes to support growth and decision making. This role offers hands-on impact from day one in a high-autonomy, solution-driven team.

Responsibilities
  • Tackle complex data platform challenges alongside senior engineers
  • Own areas of the problem and deliver pragmatic, scalable solutions
  • Collaborate with product, analytics and engineering teams to align stakeholders
  • Contribute to enabling fast, iterative analytics with strong foundations in reliability, cost, and security
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, warehouses and tooling within the modern tech stack
  • Participate in shaping how teams interact with data and drive improvements
Key requirements
  • Solid programming ability (Python or similar)
  • Strong Snowflake experience or equivalent data warehouse knowledge
  • Understanding of software engineering patterns and architectures
  • Experience building data-intensive systems
  • Cloud experience (AWS preferred)
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform ideally)
  • CI/CD best practices
  • Familiarity with modern data architectures (Lambda/Kappa)
  • Good judgement on build-vs-buy decisions
  • Clear communicator across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple streams of work and work in ambiguity
  • Pragmatic, balancing speed with scalability and reliability
  • Active interest in improving ways of working, including AI tooling
  • Self-starter and ownership
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Good communication across audiences
