Overview

In this role you will contribute to the Reuters Imagen platform, deploying and operating across AWS and Azure. You will help onboard content partners, configure ingest pipelines, and automate workflows that connect partner systems to Reuters Connect. You’ll expand infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines, build custom automation, and troubleshoot incidents to improve reliability. You will work with cross-functional teams to understand partner needs and deliver scalable, live video delivery solutions. This is a hands-on, growth-focused position with a clear path to deeper expertise in cloud, data, and media workflows.

Responsibilities
  • Learn to deploy, configure, troubleshoot and maintain Imagen installations across multi-cloud environments
  • Onboard new content partners by configuring ingest pipelines and mapping partner metadata
  • Integrate partner Imagen systems with Reuters Connect following standard procedures
  • Maintain and extend infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines for serverless ingest
  • Build bespoke automation around customer platforms (watch folders, event-driven ingest pipelines, API integrations)
  • Create automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) to reduce manual work
  • Investigate failed ingests and incidents, implement fixes, and document learnings
  • Plan and run media migrations and decommission legacy systems
  • Document builds and learnings on internal wiki and repositories
  • Collaborate with content partner managers and stakeholders to clarify requests and communicate progress
Key requirements
  • Working knowledge of at least one major public cloud (AWS or Azure) with interest in learning the other
  • Scripting ability in PowerShell and/or Python
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB)
  • Version control with Git and understanding of branching and PR reviews
  • Comfort with structured data formats (XML, JSON) and REST APIs
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a methodical approach
  • Clear written and verbal communication, including to non-technical stakeholders
  • Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and update progress
  • Curiosity and methodical problem-solving

  • Public cloud experience (AWS or Azure)
