Join a medium-sized Quebec organization active in a multi-entity context, where finance works closely with operations. This newly created position aims to increase analytical capacity while strengthening the execution of monthly closures and on-the-ground support. You will be closely accompanied by controllers and exposed to process optimization initiatives.
Responsibilities — deliver solid closures and useful analyses to operations
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including recurring and month-end entries.
- Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial statements in close support of controllers.
- Balance inventories, document discrepancies, and clearly explain causes and impacts.
- Produce margin analyses, budgets, forecasts, and variances to support decision-making.
- Track project costs and consumption statistics, then derive actionable insights.
- Analyze supplier and customer payment terms to inform performance tracking.
- Participate in process optimization and special projects according to current priorities.
Profile sought — the essentials to be effective quickly
- Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting; open to a technical degree or relevant background with solid experience.
- Have 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
- Master monthly closures, balance sheet reconciliations, inventories, and accounting entries.
- Use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level and demonstrate a good understanding of an ERP.
- Exhibit rigor, analytical spirit, autonomy, and collaboration.
Conditions — what is offered to support your daily life
- Offer a salary of $75,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.
- Work 37.5 hours/week, with a flexible start time between approximately 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM (usual end between 3:30 PM and 5:00 PM).
