Junior Infrastructure Engineer – Trading

In this role you support and develop the firm’s IT infrastructure, enabling reliable, scalable operations for a high-frequency trading environment. You’ll work within the IT and Development team to manage end-user computing, networks, cloud resources, and in-house software support, while driving automation and performance improvements. The position blends Windows and Linux administration with hands-on deployment and patching, within a fast-paced, open, and collaborative culture. This is a technical, hands-on opportunity to influence infrastructure at scale, leveraging AWS and open-source solutions.
Responsibilities- Day-to-day management and development of IT systems supporting the business
- End-user computing, networking, firewalling, cloud computing, software repo management
- Support of in-house developed software
- Drive initiatives to improve reliability, performance, and automation across infrastructure
- Build and deploy new PCs
- Manage resource utilisation of IT systems
- Patch and maintain Windows Server environment
- Patch and maintain Linux systems
- Ensure regulatory compliance reporting
- Collaborate with IT team to maximize automation and AWS utilization
- Windows Server Administration: Active Directory, Windows Server 2012/2016, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, WSUS, server builds
- Linux Server Administration: AWS Linux, CentOS, Bash scripting, Crontab and service management, server builds, SFTP
- End-user Computing: Windows 10, PC Builds, wireless, printing, Office365, Teams
- Management of Gitlab repos and pipelining
- Ticket management and tracking
- Time and task planning
