Junior Java Developer

Salary: £28,000 - 49,000 per year

Requirements:

• Degree educated with a 2.1 or above in Computer Science, or a similar STEM discipline, from a top tier university
• Strong A-level results
• Commercial Java development experience
• Familiarity with Agile processes and TDD
• Thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures, and Algorithms
• Previous exposure to Scala, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, or Linux would be beneficial but is not essential
• Collaborative with good communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Join a small team with a focus on backend Java development and exposure across the full tech stack
• Work on projects across the business including trading systems, marketplace, website, payments, and automated trading bots
• Use and expand skills across technologies including Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, TypeScript, React, and AWS
• Choose the best tool for the job in a friendly Agile team environment
