Overview

In this role you will design, develop, and deploy cloud-based Java microservices to support a growing fintech platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams in a collaborative, paired programming environment to solve complex problems and improve architecture through automation and testing. The position offers a greenfield backend project alongside a mobile app team, within a fast-paced, high-growth setting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test and deploy microservices into AWS
  • Support other business units by investigating problems, querying data, and building tools
  • Collaborate in a paired, highly collaborative environment to solve complex problems
  • Work with the full engineering team to continually improve architecture and processes
  • Prototype new concepts and technologies; push for automation
Key requirements
  • At least 2 years of software development experience
  • Proficiency with Java, Spring, and SpringBoot
  • Proficiency with concurrent programming principles and basic design patterns
  • Excellent verbal communication, remote development and strong problem-solving skills
  • BSc/BA/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
