As a Junior Linux Systems Administrator, you will support a global Linux infrastructure for a well-known retail trading business. You’ll monitor mission-critical systems to ensure uptime and performance and help implement new technologies to meet evolving business needs. You’ll work within a Linux/DevOps team, collaborating to enable scalable, open-source solutions. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge tech and a clear path to grow in a financially driven tech environment.

Responsibilities
  • Build and configure Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Fedora)
  • Monitor critical systems to ensure uptime and performance
  • Support global Linux infrastructure
  • Implement new technologies and improve existing ones to meet business requirements
Key requirements
  • Degree in quantitative subject
  • Experience building and configuring Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Fedora)
  • Basic networks skills
  • Coding/scripting ability (PHP, Python, Ruby)
  • Enthusiasm and good communicator
  • Interest in Puppet / Chef
  • 1–2 years’ Linux experience
