Junior Mission Operations Engineer

Support Canadarm2 and Dextre operations as a Junior Mission Operations Engineer at MDA Space, working on-site in St. Hubert, Quebec. Apply systems engineering to real-time spaceflight operations.

On the Robotics & Space Operations team, you will provide engineering support for the Mobile Servicing System aboard the International Space Station. The work includes anomaly troubleshooting, performance monitoring, flight following, procedure reviews, and technical discussions. You may also support astronaut training and develop augmented or virtual reality applications for the DREAMR Lab.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support real-time robotic operations for station assembly and maintenance
• Troubleshoot anomalies and determine technical resolutions
• Monitor system performance and identify operational deviations
• Review flight procedures from a systems engineering perspective
• Support astronaut and flight controller training

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in an approved engineering, mathematics, or physics discipline
• Ability to work independently on assigned tasks
• Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Excellent written communication skills
