Junior Payment Systems Developer

Build payment technology at LOC Software as a Junior Developer, applying programming fundamentals and SQL in a flexible work model.

As a Junior Developer on the Payment team, you will support, maintain, and enhance transaction processing systems. You will work with experienced software engineers while learning LOC’s proprietary scripting environment. The work combines payment architecture, databases, and systems integration across retail technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze, maintain, and debug existing payment architecture code
• Write and optimize SQL queries, procedures, and functions
• Secure transactions through database development and maintenance
• Connect POS hardware, middleware, and payment processors
• Troubleshoot transaction issues alongside senior developers

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
• Two to five years of software development experience
• Excellent programming and scripting proficiency
• Understanding of HTTP, TCP/IP, REST, and WebSockets
• Payment or POS integration experience is an asset
