Overview
As Platform Applications Specialist, you will design, automate, and maintain mission-critical platform infrastructure using DevOps practices. You’ll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver automated platform solutions that scale across the firm. This role focuses on building reliable services, monitoring systems, and streamlining day-to-day tasks with scripting and configuration management. You’ll grow by learning new technologies in a fast-paced environment and contribute to platform reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Design, monitor, and maintain automated platform solutions and services
- Develop and operate platform infrastructure using scripting and configuration management tools
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement scalable, reliable platform components
- Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce toil
- Engage in DevOps/SRE practices to support mission-critical systems
Key requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline
- Up to 4 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
- Experience with Python, git, Bash and Linux
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with the team
- Nice to have: experience with Gitlab, Artifactory or Docker; Ansible and Terraform; Slurm or Kubernetes; Elasticsearch, Datadog, Prometheus, PostgreSQL
