Junior Python Machine Learning Specialist

Build trusted sensor datasets in Calgary with Python and SQL for a hybrid training app and wearable research program.

As a junior specialist, you will turn movement recordings into testable findings alongside the founder, engineers, coaches, and full-stack developer. You will support practical data wrangling, machine learning experiments, and reproducible evaluation. New graduates and candidates with one to three years of experience are welcome.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build Python and SQL tools for sensor recordings
• Maintain traceable datasets with participant and equipment details
• Check samples, timing, labels, and collection records
• Run documented baselines and reproducible machine learning experiments
• Report errors, limitations, negative results, and usable interfaces

Requirements:

• Practical Python, data wrangling, SQL, and Git skills
• Foundation in statistics, validation, overfitting, and baselines
• At least one substantial real project
• Ability to explain results and investigate messy data
• Experience with iOS and Android development
