Overview

As a Quant Developer at Squarepoint, you collaborate with researchers and traders to implement new trading strategies and supporting software. You’ll build tools applying advanced statistical methods to identify opportunities and monitor impact. You may enhance strategies through backtesting on vast proprietary data. This role offers cross-team collaboration and learning from industry experts in a fast-paced, innovative quant research environment.

Responsibilities
  • implement novel trading strategies and supporting software
  • develop tools to apply advanced statistics for opportunity identification and monitoring
  • analyze backtesting results on large proprietary datasets to improve strategies
  • drive cross-team initiatives within Squarepoint
Key requirements
  • Degree in Applied Math, Physics, Engineering, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science or related quantitative discipline
  • Up to 4 years of experience in software or quant development
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, or KDB+/q
  • Strong interest in finance and global markets
  • Experience with git and Linux
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and grow with the team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
