What We Need
Corpay is currently looking to hire a Junior Risk Analyst within our Riskdivision. This position falls under our Cross-Border line of business and is in Toronto, ON. In this role, you will monitor settlement exposures, review exceptions, support credit underwriting, and identify potential financial risks. The position analyzes financial and transactional data using Excel, SQL, and Power BI, maintains risk reporting and documentation, and partners cross-functionally to resolve credit and settlement issues while ensuring appropriate risk controls.
You will report directly to the Senior Manager Operational Risk & Controls and regularly collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the role will include:
- Review settlement limit exceptions, early release requests and temporary overdrafts, ensuring appropriate documentation, approval and escalation.
- Monitor settlement exposures, CLIAB balances, bounced payments and outstanding funding positions, and follow up on unresolved items.
- Support credit underwriting, annual reviews and limit assessments through financial statement, settlement history and transaction pattern analysis.
- Prepare concise exception summaries and credit reviews, identifying key risks, mitigating factors and recommended actions.
- Produce daily and monthly credit reports using Excel and SQL while supporting their transition to Power BI.
- Validate Power BI reports against source systems, investigating and resolving data discrepancies.
- Maintain risk dashboards, trackers, process manuals, reporting logic, training materials, and audit documentation.
- Support process enhancements, report testing, data cleanup initiatives, and other ad hoc Credit Risk projects.
- Partner with Sales, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Credit Underwriting, Treasury and other teams to resolve transactional and credit related matters while maintaining appropriate risk discipline
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Risk Management, Data Analytics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Up to two years of relevant experience in credit, risk, banking, payments, financial services, reporting, or analytics; internship and co-op experience will be considered.
- Foundational ability to analyze financial statements and assess key indicators, including liquidity, leverage, profitability, cash flow and working capital.
- Advanced Excel skills, including lookups, pivot tables, complex formulas, and structured data analysis.
- Basic SQL knowledge, including the ability to write queries, extract data and perform cross-source validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear communication, sound judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities and collaborate across functions.

Pay Transparency
The expected salary range for this position is 50,000 CAD – 60,000 CAD, based on the candidate’s work location. This range reflects a good faith estimate of the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting. The final offer will be determined based on job-related factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable market conditions. Compensation may vary based on geographic location and will be confirmed during the hiring process. Additional compensation and benefits, including incentive programs, health coverage, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits (where applicable), may also be provided.
