An exciting opportunity has arisen for a SOC Analyst to join a growing team. The successful candidate will drive the initial triage and dispatch of security alerts, conducting thorough log and traffic analysis to identify emerging threats. Core responsibilities include leveraging advanced security tools to investigate suspicious activity and execute operational runbooks. Additionally, the ideal candidate will collaborate closely with internal security teams while maintaining direct, professional communication with clients during incident escalations.

Responsibilities:

  • Initial triage and dispatch of security-related alerts/incidents during the 7 AM-7 PM coverage window.
  • Review and interpret logs, IP addresses, traffic source/destination details, and potential threats.
  • Investigate suspicious activity, including researching indicators such as malicious IPs.
  • Use SIEM and security tools; their current stack includes SentinelOne, Stellar Cyber, email-security platforms, Qualys, and RoboShadow.
  • Communicate with customers by phone when required.
  • Follow runbooks, collaborate with the SOC team, and upscale where appropriate.

Skills/Must Have:

  • 1-2 years' relevant experience; entry-level SOC background preferred.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge and understanding of SOC workflows.
  • SIEM/log-analysis exposure, Splunk is fully acceptable; SentinelOne and Stellar Cyber are their current tools.
  • Able to interpret logs, IP addresses, TCP/IP, threat activity, and source/destination traffic.
  • Firewall knowledge, particularly how to investigate activity; Fortinet is useful but not essential.
  • Comfortable speaking with customers and communicating clearly.
  • Willing to collaborate, follow processes, take initiative, and learn
