Overview
In this role you help build and scale Yapily’s modern data platform, focusing on data pipelines, billing infrastructure, and self-serve data APIs. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the GCP stack while enabling engineering teams to turn raw data into actionable value. You’ll collaborate across teams to design scalable ingestion and processing systems, contribute to reliable billing, and support API-driven data experiences. This is a growth path in data engineering at a fintech-focused company.

- Support scalable data ingestion and processing pipelines using ETL/ELT methods
- Learn and apply GCP services (Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Cloud Storage) for deployments
- Collaborate with BI, infrastructure, and product teams to translate data requirements into solutions
- Contribute to API development and documentation for internal/external data consumers
- Work with SQL and NoSQL databases, optimize schemas and queries for high-volume workloads
- Assist in building reliable billing architecture in an event-driven environment
- Participate in testing, monitoring, and logging to ensure system resilience
- Engage in code reviews and agile ceremonies to grow technically and product knowledge
- 2–3 years of programming experience including internships or projects
- Exposure to SQL and basic schema design
- Git familiarity and basic CI/CD concepts
- Proactive problem-solving mindset and curiosity about data flow
- Basic understanding of REST APIs and microservices communication
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Curiosity and willingness to learn
