Overview
In this role you will support and extend a widely deployed order management system on a systematic trading desk. You will work with fellow engineers to align technical solutions with trading schedules and research needs, while improving simulation, reporting, and automated reporting. You’ll contribute to testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving in a fast-paced, open culture. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge tech in a non-bureaucratic environment, with meaningful impact on trading workflows.
Responsibilities- Develop and expand the Widley-deployed order management system
- Support and improve the trading desk’s simulation software and reporting systems
- Automate report generation for client reps
- Implement unit tests for existing code
- Provide morning support when systems misbehave
- Problem solving and level 1–2 application support
- Monitor and report on system status
- Architect new solutions
- Demonstrable programming skills with 1+ years commercial experience in an object oriented language
- C#; .NET Core an advantage
- Working knowledge of Python an advantage
- Understanding of relational database concepts
- Pragmatic approach to maintenance, refactoring and support of systems
- Degree not required; strong practical skill is valued
