Overview

In this role you join a cross‑asset trading team to help build a new greenfield, low‑latency trading platform. You will collaborate with the Head of Trading and the Quant Team to design and implement trading algorithms and supporting tools. The position offers exposure to high‑frequency trading within a fast, flat, collaborative environment focused on rapid execution. You’ll contribute to new platform development, improve existing strategies, and support traders with practical applications and back-office enhancements. This is an opportunity to shape a modern trading infrastructure in a London City setting.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new trading algorithms and utilities
  • Build a greenfield low-latency trading platform
  • Improve and maintain existing trading strategies
  • Develop back-office and utility applications to assist trading
  • Collaborate with traders to understand requirements and resolve issues
  • Support cross-asset trading initiatives across FX, equities, and commodities
Key requirements
  • Commercial Java development experience
  • Core Java
  • SQL
  • Good understanding of general programming concepts, diligent coder
  • C++ acceptable but Java is core
