Overview
In this role you shape AHV, the enterprise hypervisor at the heart of Nutanix’s software stack, helping to deliver reliable, performant and secure datacenter virtualization. You will work with a Cambridge-based team to develop features that scale with Open Source communities and cross-functional partners. You’ll lead feature development from concept to market and mentor peers. You will be part of a mission to advance the software-defined datacenter and collaborate across product, sales, and support. Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain AHV features
- Interact with Open Source communities
- Improve reliability, performance, and security of AHV
- Lead feature development from concept to market
- Mentor other software engineers
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, and/or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of industry experience or equivalent research experience
- Rock solid coding skills in C and Python for enterprise-quality software
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux and OS internals
- Familiarity with x86, virtualization, and storage/network management
- Familiarity with KVM and QEMU preferred
- Experience with open source communities is preferred
- Rust and GoLang are desired but not required
