Junior Systems Administrator

In this role you support a diverse tech environment spanning Windows and Linux servers, VMs, containers, and storage-heavy infrastructure. You will work with a cross-functional team to maintain network services, architecture, and open-source-driven solutions, while contributing to automation and monitoring. The role offers exposure to a cutting-edge, high-performance trading tech setting with opportunities to influence architecture and adopt new technologies. • Develop and maintain Linux and Windows servers, VMs, containers, and relevant desktops
• Administer network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Design and optimize network topology and storage solutions (ZFS, Ceph, NVMe)
• Work on diverse projects such as High Availability VM clusters and bespoke container tools
• Contribute to configuration management and automation of routine tasks
• Monitor systems, respond to alerts, and help enhance the monitoring platform
• Implement and uphold system and network security standards
• advise on best practices, focusing on Open Source where feasible
• Explore open-source solutions and prototype new technologies to influence architecture

• Very comfortable with Linux (preferably Ubuntu/Debian) and Windows environments
• Interest in building technology and helping others use it effectively
• Experience with general systems administration and user support (phone/desk-side/remote)
• Familiarity with Windows enterprise environment and standard applications; Linux or Solaris familiarity
• Interest in finance
