Overview

In this role you enable smooth Lending API integrations for iwoca’s partner ecosystem. You’ll guide partner developers, troubleshoot issues, and translate feedback into product improvements. Working within the Partnerships team, you’ll help scale integrations across banks, accounting software, and other platforms. You’ll learn the API end-to-end and own the technical relationship with partners to speed up funding for SMEs. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role that blends API mastery with partner collaboration to drive meaningful impact.

Responsibilities
  • Be the main technical contact for partners’ developers and guide them on API usage
  • Learn the Lending API end-to-end, including endpoints, webhooks, and failure modes
  • Lead partner engineers from sandbox to live environments and influence the integration design
  • Review partner customer journeys and propose changes to increase funded loans
  • Triages live integration issues, trace problems in logs/code, and coordinate fixes with Partner Flow
  • Own the technical relationship with partners, including their engineers and commercial leads
  • Pitch new API features to partners and advocate for roadmap incorporation
  • Develop monitoring to detect integration degradation and analyze performance data
  • Own and improve public API documentation to attract and retain partners
Key requirements
  • A degree in a technical or scientific subject
  • Understanding and interest in how APIs work
  • Clear, concise communication with technical and non-technical audiences
  • Analytical problem-solving approach
  • Commercial sense to prioritize problems and partners
  • Comfort with using AI tools for investigation and faster answers
  • Bonus: experience in a partner-facing or customer-facing technical role
