Lab Infrastructure Test Engineer - Telco/Broadband
My client, a global telecoms provider is currently looking for an experienced Lab Infrastructure test engineer to do the following:
- Develop automation test scripts for our next generation converged products and services
- Maintaining and improving CPE platform test environments.
- Deliver resolutions to problems that tend to be complex, cross-domain or of high impact to customers.
- Provide technical quality assurance over work of other engineers through Matrix team structure
- Working effectively as part of Agile delivery squads
- Using scrum/JIRA/Wiki for tracking agile workflow deliveries
- Supporting proactive improvement initiatives
Skills and experience
- Strong Knowledge of python
- Knowledge of VMs and Containerisation
- Knowledge of Linux and Docker
- Experience maintaining and improving CPE platform test environments
- Using code revision, issue tracking and continuous integration tools, ie git, JIRA, Gitlab
- Good knowledge of Agile delivery methods and tools, eg scrum/JIRA/wiki
- Good knowledge of Broadband/Home Gateway standards, eg xDSL, FTTP, IPv4/IPv6, PPP, Wi-Fi, UPnP, 4G/5G mobile networks
- Good understanding of RF fundamentals and wireless networking concepts.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex technical material
Ability to self-develop in required areas
