Lakehouse Backend Engineer — Iceberg & BigQuery

Spotify is seeking a backend engineer to help build and evolve the lakehouse foundations that allow data workflows to read and write Iceberg tables directly. You will work from MVP to production-grade platform, and help migrate pipelines onto the new stack with tooling and standards.

You will own BigQuery at Spotify scale, manage reservations and monitoring, and contribute to anti-pattern detection. You will participate in on-call rotations and ensure reliability across thousands of users.
