Overview
In this Lead Analyst role, you will support capital modelling and production for a global insurance organisation, contributing to Group and regional models including Solvency II Internal Models. You’ll produce outputs, validate inputs, and communicate findings to risk, capital management, reinsurance and investments teams. The role focuses on robust processes, submissions, stress testing, and governance, with opportunities to drive automation and efficiency in a cross-functional environment.
Responsibilities- Produce and present model outputs and explain movements to stakeholders across risk, capital management, reinsurance and investments
- Contribute to quarterly model baselines, regulatory submissions, stress testing, risk appetite monitoring and ORSA
- Collect and validate inputs, perform QA, implement controls, and maintain model documentation
- Integrate modelling processes across the organisation and identify opportunities for automation and process optimisation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a global environment to support capital modelling initiatives
- MSc in quantitative discipline
- qualified actuary or equivalent
- at least five years' capital modelling experience in general insurance
- understanding of Solvency II Internal Models and related regulatory regimes
- ability to communicate technical findings to senior and non-technical stakeholders
- strong analytical, problem-solving, review and prioritisation skills
- experience with actuarial pricing or reserving; Igloo; Python, R, MATLAB or VBA (advantageous)
