Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of the data reporting layer and analytics pipelines to ensure they are scalable, maintainable, and meet business requirements
  • Architect and implement complex end-to-end data models, establishing patterns and best practices for the team to follow
  • Provide technical oversight for the analytics engineering team, conducting code and design reviews to ensure quality and consistency
  • Mentor and train analytics engineers, fostering continuous learning and adherence to best practices in data modeling and reporting
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, analytics) and stakeholders to align data projects with broader business objectives and requirements
  • Establish and enforce coding standards, documentation practices, and data governance policies within the analytics engineering function
  • Coordinate and plan team deliverables, helping remove roadblocks and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Contribute to strategic discussions by providing data-driven insights and inputs to product roadmaps and business strategies
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Computer Science
  • At least 7 years of experience in data analytics engineering or a closely related data role, including leading projects or teams
  • Expert proficiency in SQL and experience with complex data modeling (dbt or similar) and data warehousing concepts
  • Strong programming skills (Python) and ability to design efficient data pipelines and integrations
  • Experience setting technical standards and guiding a team in best practices for data engineering/analytics
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and influence technical decisions
  • Deep understanding of how data supports business strategy, with the ability to align technical solutions to business goals
