As Lead Analytics Engineer at Wise in London, you will mentor analysts and drive the data infrastructure roadmap to enable fast, reliable insights. You’ll build and guard core datasets, ensure data quality, and evangelise tooling like dbt and AI across the organization. You’ll shape data modelling practices and partner with squads to advance analytics capabilities. - Lead and mentor analysts to establish best practices around infrastructure, monitoring, testing, and data modelling
- Own and drive the data infrastructure roadmap for the assigned tribe
- Build and maintain core datasets ensuring data quality and accessibility
- Evangelise new tooling (dbt & AI applications) and drive adoption
- Assess and implement data modelling best practices within the squad
- Advanced proficiency in SQL
- Advanced proficiency in Python
- Proven experience building analytics pipelines and data models
- Hands-on experience with Airflow or similar orchestration tool
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Excellent storytelling with data, translating insights into actionable narratives
- Demonstrated Python development for practical solutions
