Overview
In this role you lead the Anti-Cheat team within Player Trust to uphold fair play for RuneScape players. You translate strategy into operational priorities, oversee complex investigations, and coordinate with game, data, and engineering teams to refine detection and enforcement. You monitor data to identify threats, drive improvements, and manage resources and scheduling, including occasional weekend coverage. This position combines leadership, investigative judgment, and data-driven decision making in a live-service gaming environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Anti-Cheat team, setting objectives and coaching staff
- Translate strategy into clear operational priorities and ensure resourcing and delivery
- Monitor KPIs and data to identify threats and drive continuous improvement
- Lead complex investigations into cheating and unfair behavior, overseeing enforcement
- Collaborate with game, data and engineering teams to refine detection and enforcement
- Coordinate shift scheduling and weekend rota participation
Key requirements
- Proven experience in leading or line managing a team
- Significant experience in anti-cheat, Trust and Safety, fraud prevention, abuse detection, or similar operational environment
- Strong data literacy with ability to read and act on operational data
- Solid Excel skills; SQL is strongly desirable
- Sound judgment and decision-making with incomplete data
- Knowledge of online games and live service environments; experience with MMOs is advantageous
- Python and Zendesk familiarity are a plus
