Overview

In this role, you will lead enterprise Appian delivery programmes, shaping architecture and guiding multi-disciplinary teams to modernise business operations with low-code automation. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to design scalable, secure Appian solutions and mentor delivery teams. The position blends hands-on Appian work with strategic consulting, governance, and pre-sales contributions to grow Valtech’s Appian practice. You’ll operate in a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on measurable business outcomes and continuous learning.

Responsibilities
  • Lead design and architecture of enterprise Appian solutions for scalability, security, and maintainability
  • Provide technical direction across delivery teams and govern project lifecycle
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, product managers and engineers to balance business objectives with technical excellence
  • Facilitate technical discussions, challenge assumptions and support technology decisions
  • Lead Agile delivery teams, support sprint planning, estimation, reviews and continuous improvement
  • Coach and mentor consultants to build capability and a strong engineering culture
  • Own application quality, performance, and operational resilience; oversee deployments and Appian health checks
  • Contribute to growth of Valtech's Appian practice through pre-sales support, proposals, and accelerators
  • Stay updated on Appian capabilities and AI-powered automation to drive faster innovation
  • Represent Valtech's delivery approach credibly to external stakeholders
  • Engage in capability development and thought leadership within the Appian community
Key requirements
  • Proven experience leading enterprise-scale Appian delivery programmes in complex consulting environments
  • Architecting Appian applications across Records, Record Types, Relationships, SAIL, Process Models, Sites, Reports and CDTs with reusable structure
  • Strong SQL and relational databases knowledge; decide database vs application layer logic
  • Experience designing enterprise integration architectures and evaluating build-vs-buy for plugins
  • Planning for scalability, monitoring, performance tuning, and CI/CD across environments
  • Experience establishing effective blended-team collaboration and stakeholder management
  • Understanding of Appian security across data, UI, and multi-application landscapes; governance and standards
  • Experience owning deployment workflows and release governance across multiple apps and teams
  • Leading Agile Scrum delivery, including Sprint 0, backlog refinement, estimation, demos
  • Excellent stakeholder management with Product Owners and senior client stakeholders
  • Mentoring developers and leading high-performing technical teams
  • Pre-sales, solution design, proposals or technical bid experience
