Overview

In this role you help unlock smart, data-driven decision making for Commercial Lines actuarial analytics. You work with the Global Data Office to translate actuarial needs into data specs, shape the data platform roadmap, and guide cross-functional delivery. You’ll blend actuarial insights with data engineering to improve reporting, reserving and pricing decisions. This is a hands-on product owner role with meaningful impact on analytics strategy and execution.

Responsibilities
  • Lead deep requirement sessions with senior actuaries to capture workflows, data nuances and reporting needs, producing functional specs
  • Facilitate alignment across actuaries and Data Office teams on priorities and timelines
  • Own the Data Platform & Tool Development for actuarial data, roadmapping and partnering with data engineers
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and manage the product backlog (refinement, sprint planning, daily scrums)
  • Translate actuarial requirements (reserving, pricing, modeling) into user stories, epics and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure data governance and quality with standards, lineage documentation and change management
Key requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in business analysis and actuarial tool design in insurance/financial services
  • Bachelor in actuarial science or related field
  • Strong understanding of Commercial Insurance actuarial concepts (reserving methods, pricing tools)
  • Experience with data environments, ETL and visualization tools
  • Leadership experience in steering Agile teams and backlog management
  • Excellent communication skills to translate complex concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Actuarial credentials or exams preferred
