Lead Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Overview
In this role you will lead the design and scaling of the cloud infrastructure that underpins a leading autonomous vehicle software platform. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, performant, and scalable cloud services using AWS and Infrastructure-as-Code. You’ll drive DevOps culture, mentor engineers, and shape infrastructure that supports vehicle development and safety assurance. This is a hands-on leadership role with a focus on architecture, collaboration, and impact across the organization.
Responsibilities- Lead projects delivering scalable cloud infrastructure and architect changes to support growth and reliability
- Design and implement infrastructure on AWS and with Terraform, enabling deployment and scaling of cloud services
- Collaborate with other teams to deploy cloud software on Kubernetes
- Mentor engineers and represent the Infrastructure team in cross-organizational discussions
- Advocate for DevOps practices and processes, driving improvements and operational excellence
- Plan and prioritise projects with the team lead and engineering manager
- Communicate technical topics clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Contribute to security, observability, and performance enhancements in the platform
- Led projects delivering cloud infrastructure
- Deep experience with AWS
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Linux server administration and configuration management experience
- Networking experience
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices
- Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) and Kubernetes in production at scale (bonus)
