In this role you lead a team of Linux and cloud professionals to keep client applications running reliably around the clock. You will scale and optimise cloud services on AWS and provide advanced 4th line support, shaping service quality and resilience. Based in London, you help drive the growth of a market-leading cloud and managed services provider. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement automation and monitoring initiatives that improve scalability and stability. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Linux/AWS engineers
- Scale and improve client cloud services on AWS
- Provide 4th line technical support for customers
- Implement automation and configuration management (Puppet, Chef)
- Monitor systems and ensure 24/7 availability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cloud maturity
- Communicate technical status and plans clearly to stakeholders
Key requirements
- Solid Linux experience
- Red Hat/CentOS preferable
- Windows knowledge is a bonus
- Scripting in Bash or Perl
- Monitoring tools experience
- Configuration management and automation tools (Puppet, Chef)
- Good AWS EC2 experience
- Networking (TCP/IP)
- Degree preferable in a quantitative subject
- Clear written and verbal communications
- Managerial skills a plus
