As Principal Consultant, you will steer design and delivery of large-scale cloud data platforms on Google Cloud. You will lead cross-functional delivery teams, shaping scalable data architectures and data products that enable analytics and AI use cases. You’ll establish engineering standards, drive data governance, and ensure performance, security, and operational excellence. This role combines hands-on engineering with strategic leadership to accelerate client digital transformation. You will work closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions.

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud data platforms and data products
• Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics solutions
• Deliver solutions using Python, SQL, dbt and cloud-native services
• Establish engineering standards, best practices and reusable frameworks
• Ensure scalability, performance, security and operational excellence
• Define enterprise data architectures aligned to business goals
• Lead data modelling activities and platform design
• Design solutions supporting analytics, reporting and AI use cases
• Provide expertise in MDM, data governance and integration
• Support technology selection and roadmap development
• Lead multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Provide architecture governance and technical oversight
• Mentor engineers and architects
• Engage senior stakeholders and manage delivery risks
• Support solution design, estimation and proposals

• GCP or equivalent cloud data platforms experience
• Advanced Python, SQL, dbt
• Experience with cloud-native data engineering services
• Proven track record delivering enterprise-scale ETL/ELT and data products
• Strong data modelling, data quality, and monitoring knowledge
• Automation, CI/CD and DevOps practices experience
• Extensive enterprise data platform design experience
• Knowledge of MDM, governance, metadata and integration patterns
• Proven leadership of large-scale data programmes
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills
• Experience in Agile delivery environments
