Overview
As Lead Data Analytics Engineer, you will drive the enterprise data modelling and analytics automation strategy across Global Analytics. You translate strategy into technical direction, building reusable capabilities and modern engineering practices. You enable squads to deliver trusted, scalable data products with high engineering standards. You will work with cross-functional teams to shape the technical roadmap and modernise data platforms, delivering measurable impact at scale. This role offers the chance to lead through hands-on engineering and mentorship in a fast-moving travel analytics environment.
Responsibilities- Lead the enterprise approach to analytical data modelling (domain models, dimensional models, semantic layers) and create reusable patterns across Data Products.
- Direct Analytics Automation initiatives, applying automation, GenAI/LLMs, and AI agents to improve development, testing, deployment, documentation and observability.
- Create frameworks, tools and reusable components to enable squads to deliver independently and faster, improving developer experience and reducing bottlenecks.
- Provide senior technical leadership for Analytics Engineering, drive platform performance, reduce technical debt, mentor engineers and shape the technical roadmap with the Head of Analytics Engineering.
- Strong hands-on Analytics Engineering/Data Engineering experience with deep expertise in data modelling, Snowflake, dbt and SQL
- Proven track record building automation and scalable analytical architectures
- Strong technical leadership experience influencing multiple teams and mentoring senior engineers
- Experience applying GenAI, LLMs, AI agents or Snowflake Cortex to engineering automation
- Hands-on, outcome-driven engineering leader capable of both strategy and production-ready delivery
