• Lead end-to-end data architecture decisions for real-time news ingestion, enrichment, storage, indexing, and distribution
• Develop data standards, schemas, and contracts for news content, metadata, and derived signals
• Partner with engineering to normalize metadata and implement industry standards for discoverability
• Ensure data architectures support observability and lineage while simplifying customer workflows
• Encourage pragmatic experimentation to improve reliability, performance, or developer experience
• Influence platform-wide decisions and long-term strategy in collaboration with product and engineering leadership

• Strong experience as a Data Architect or Technical Architect with large-scale, real-time data systems
• Deep expertise in data modeling and contract definition
• Experience designing low-latency, high-throughput architectures
• Experience with streaming and event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with cloud-native data platforms and distributed systems
• Ability to work independently, lead through influence, and communicate ideas clearly
