Lead Data Technical Architect

In this role, you design and deliver technical components within data solutions, collaborating with Solution and Customer Architects to ensure cohesive, high-quality outcomes. You own both functional and non-functional designs and contribute to pre-sales efforts. You’ll set and uphold technical standards, manage timelines, and guide a small team, shaping the data analytics capability. • Own and implement technical designs for data components/sub-systems
• Collaborate with customer architects on functional/non-functional designs, estimates, and implications
• Set and enforce technical standards with engineering teams
• Estimate and manage timelines for technical delivery
• Contribute to or lead technical solution design in pre-sales
• Support or lead development of the data analysis community and analytics capability
• Coach and develop a small team, guiding performance and career growth

• Experience owning a data component/sub-system/product (e.g., ingestion, streaming) including architecture and planning
• Strong client interaction skills and ability to explain technical decisions to non-technical audiences
• Experience applying design/standards and operational readiness (automation, deployment)
• Proven track record designing/building/productionising modern distributed data-intensive apps
• Proficiency in Java, Scala or Python with functional/OO paradigms
• Experience deploying data stores and platforms (object, document, key-value, search, RDBMS, graph)
• Software development experience with data-processing platforms from AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks
• Familiarity with data integration techniques (messaging, queues, CDC, data virtualization)
