Lead Delivery Engineer

In this role, you will establish and lead a new Delivery Engineering function within Jagex's Developer Platform, focusing on automation and tooling to boost productivity and software quality. You will shape the strategy, roadmaps, and standards that help game, platform, and product teams build, test, and release with confidence and speed. You’ll grow and guide a multidisciplinary team of Automation Engineers and drive adoption of modern engineering practices across multiple tech stacks. • Shape and execute the Delivery Engineering strategy and roadmap to improve productivity and reliability
• Build and lead a growing team of Automation Engineers across automation, testing, CI/CD, and developer tooling
• Collaborate with game, platform, and product teams to translate delivery needs into practical, adopted solutions
• Develop reusable platforms, automation, and engineering standards to improve build, test, release, and operations
• Modernise tooling and delivery practices, exploring emerging technologies including AI for productivity gains
• Define and track engineering effectiveness metrics to demonstrate improvements in developer experience and delivery performance

• Proven experience designing and evolving automation platforms or developer tooling in a modern software environment
• Strong programming experience in C#, Java, Python, Go, or TypeScript
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Azure DevOps)
• Cloud-native engineering experience (cloud platforms, IaC, containers, orchestration: Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes)
