Lead Developer Advocate, SQL & Analytics Workloads

Overview

You will bridge Snowflake’s product and engineering teams with the global developer community, creating technical content, demos, and programs that empower SQL developers and data teams. You’ll translate developer feedback into actionable product insights and shape enablement priorities. You’ll lead outreach in EMEA, build reference implementations, and scale advocacy programs across multiple stakeholders. This role blends hands-on technical storytelling with strategic influence to accelerate Snowflake adoption and developer trust.

Responsibilities
  • Define and drive the advocacy strategy for SQL development, analytics workflows, and the modern data stack
  • Create high-quality technical content (tutorials, quickstarts, blog posts, videos) and production-grade reference implementations
  • Lead SQL and analytics workload enablement, documenting workflows across SQL, ELT/ETL, dbt, orchestration, and analytics app development
  • Partner with product, engineering, and field teams to identify high-value use cases and continuously improve developer workflows
  • Evangelize Snowflake in the EMEA market through talks, events, and community engagement
  • Build the feedback loop by synthesizing developer friction points into actionable product recommendations
  • Scale programs by designing workshops, events, and enablement assets to drive adoption
  • Define and track metrics for content effectiveness, engagement, and downstream adoption
Key requirements
  • 5+ years in developer advocacy, developer relations, solutions architecture, or similar hands-on roles
  • Senior individual contributor with ownership and cross-functional leadership
  • Proven success in driving adoption for developer platforms or data products
  • Strong SQL and Python proficiency
  • Deep familiarity with modern data workflows, APIs, SDKs, notebooks, and cloud data platforms
  • Experience creating demos, reference apps, or production-oriented analytics examples
  • Ability to explain complex topics clearly to varied audiences
  • Strong content and community leadership with portfolio of talks, posts, videos, or open source work
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with product, eng, marketing, and customer teams
  • Bias for action in fast-moving environments
  • Nice to Have: Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, BI platforms, or related ecosystems
