Overview
In this Lead Developer role you will drive technical delivery and people leadership for a small, highly capable team. You’ll work on a greenfield trading platform, cloud migration, and bank-based API development within a well-known fintech/insurtech software house. You’ll partner with product managers and analysts to plan, estimate, and deliver complex initiatives from design to release. The environment is technical, fast-moving, and merit-driven, offering growth and significant impact in shaping core products.

- Line management and coaching of a team of developers
- Balance development and people management (approx. 70:30)
- Deliver multiple complex product initiatives from design to release
- Collaborate with product, project managers and analysts to produce estimates and manage transitions
- Define project delivery phases and maintain logs for issues and risks
- Participate in reviews and progress updates; suggest process improvements
- Oversee client technical support desk operations
- Contribute to departmental and systems strategy and objectives
- Undertake small consulting-style analysis projects
- Hands-on coding ability in C#
- Mentoring and leadership experience
- Experience with Agile and Waterfall
- Strong C#, .NET and Azure development background
- Experience with lifecycle management and project delivery (Agile SCRUM or Waterfall)
- Exposure to ALM tools such as Team Foundation Server, TeamCity, BeanStalk, and Git
