In this role you will lead efforts to improve how engineers build, ship, and operate services by shaping reusable templates and platform tools. - Own and evolve the service template library for .NET, Node.js, and Python, covering scaffolding, dependencies, containerisation, local dev setup, and production config
- Build and maintain CI/CD templates in GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps, standardized across stacks
- Define and ship observability standards (logging, tracing, alerting) integrated into templates for production readiness
- Work hands-on with Datadog, incident.io, and cloud-native logging/monitoring tools to build the platform observability layer
- Contribute to Azure-to-GCP migration thinking, assess tooling changes, and build proof-of-concept work
- Collaborate with product engineers to identify and fix root causes of developer experience issues (slow pipelines, confusing templates)
- Lead technical decisions on platform tooling, evaluate new tools, write ADRs, and drive cross-team adoption
- Mentor engineers in the Cloud Platform team and support product engineers in adopting platform tooling
- Proficient in at least one of .NET (C#), Node.js, Python
- Strong GCP experience; Azure experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience designing reusable CI/CD templates (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
- Experience with containerisation (Docker) and deployment on Kubernetes or Cloud Run
- Observability tooling experience (Datadog, incident.io, or cloud-native logging/monitoring)
- Infrastructure-as-code with Terraform
- Proven track record of driving adoption and creating readable docs
