Lead DevOps Engineer (AWS/Snowflake)

In this role you will design, build and operate the cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines that power a Snowflake-based data platform. You will work with data engineers and architects to enable continuous delivery, environment consistency, and operational excellence across development, testing and production. You will focus on secure, scalable infrastructure, automated deployment, and reliable data workflows. Responsibilities- Design and manage cloud infrastructure for Snowflake and related data services
- Implement infrastructure-as-code with Terraform or CloudFormation
- Keep dev, test and prod environments consistent, secure and scalable
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform components (Snowflake objects, dbt models, ingestion pipelines)
- Automate deployment, testing and promotion of code across environments
- Integrate version control and release management processes
- Provision and configure Snowflake environments automatically
- Manage role-based access control, secrets, and environment isolation
- Collaborate with data engineers to optimize Snowflake deployment patterns
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting across the data platform
- Ensure high availability and performance of pipelines and integrations
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis
- Embed security best practices across infrastructure and pipelines
- Manage secrets, encryption, and access controls in line with financial services standards
- Promote DevOps culture and define deployment, branching and environment standards
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing
- Experience with Snowflake
- DevOps or Cloud Engineering
- Hands-on AWS experience
- Proven use of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform)
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Strong version control and release management practices
- Experience supporting data platforms or data engineering teams
- Understanding of ELT/ETL pipelines and data workflows
- Experience with monitoring/observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or cloud-native)
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices, IAM, and secrets management
- Awareness of compliance requirements in regulated environments
