Overview
In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and operation of cloud-based, enterprise-grade platforms for high-profile clients. You’ll drive platform modernization, automation, and security, collaborating with a forward-thinking engineering community. You’ll mentor teams, align DevOps best practices with business goals, and ensure resilient, scalable services. This is a hands-on leadership role at a fast-growing tech services company focused on transformational IT delivery.

- Lead technical initiatives and DevOps strategy
- Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms for Azure and/or AWS
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Advance automation, security, and observability across platforms
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across teams
- Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud
- Implement DevSecOps principles and self-service developer platforms
- Proven experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native platforms in Azure and/or AWS
- Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and IAM
- Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Kubernetes and containerization expertise
- CI/CD pipeline expertise (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
- Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Go)
- Monitoring/observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK/EFK)
- HA/DR design experience
- Multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud experience
- Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization
- DevSecOps in CI/CD pipelines
- Developer platforms and self-service capabilities
- Right to work in the UK; ability to obtain UK Security Clearance; willingness to travel within the UK
