In this role, you will lead the design, delivery, and operation of cloud-based, enterprise-grade platforms for high-profile clients. You’ll drive platform modernization, automation, and security, collaborating with a forward-thinking engineering community. You’ll mentor teams, align DevOps best practices with business goals, and ensure resilient, scalable services. Responsibilities
  • Lead technical initiatives and DevOps strategy
  • Design, build, and operate cloud-native platforms for Azure and/or AWS
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Advance automation, security, and observability across platforms
  • Mentor engineers and collaborate with stakeholders across teams
  • Design for high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud
  • Implement DevSecOps principles and self-service developer platforms
Key requirements
  • Proven experience designing, building, and operating cloud-native platforms in Azure and/or AWS
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, networking, and IAM
  • Hands-on IaC experience (Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, Ansible)
  • Kubernetes and containerization expertise
  • CI/CD pipeline expertise (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
  • Scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Go)
  • Monitoring/observability experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, ELK/EFK)
  • HA/DR design experience
  • Multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud experience
  • Knowledge of FinOps and cloud cost optimization
  • DevSecOps in CI/CD pipelines
  • Developer platforms and self-service capabilities
  • Right to work in the UK; ability to obtain UK Security Clearance; willingness to travel within the UK
